Position Summary:
We are seeking qualified and passionate A-Level Subject Trainers to deliver high-quality instruction for students preparing for the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (GCE A-Level) Examination. The trainer will be responsible for teaching one or more subjects, developing students' critical thinking and analytical skills, and ensuring students are well-prepared to excel in their A-Level examinations.

Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Instruction:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons for assigned A-Level subjects across all available modules.
- Follow the structured curriculum spanning 6 terms over 2 years (1,200 total training hours).
- Teach foundation, core, and advanced topics progressively across terms.
- Conduct timed practices, mock examinations, and past year paper drills aligned with Cambridge syllabus requirements.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and student needs.
- Utilize active learning strategies to develop critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of syllabus changes and examination trends.
Assessment & Evaluation:
- Design and administer diagnostic tests, term examinations, and mock exams aligned with Cambridge standards.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on student performance.
- Track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct assessment hours as scheduled (60 hours total across 6 terms).
- Analyze examination results and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Student Development:
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Encourage active inquiry, reflection, and balanced perspectives.
- Mentor students on exam strategies, time management, and study techniques.
- Support students' academic and personal development.
- Provide guidance on subject-specific challenges and learning strategies.
Curriculum Support:
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment papers.
- Stay updated on A-Level syllabus changes and Cambridge examination trends.
- Collaborate with fellow trainers to ensure curriculum consistency and quality.
- Contribute to course improvement and development initiatives.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions.
Required Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in the relevant subject area (Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Computer Science, Art & Design, Chinese Language & Literature, or Business).
- Strong knowledge of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level syllabus and Cambridge Assessment International Education standards.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at A-Level, Junior College, or equivalent level.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to teach H1 and/or H2 level subjects as required.
Preferred:
- Teaching qualification (PGDE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching multiple A-Level subjectt.
- Track record of students achieving strong A-Level results (Grade A/B).
- Experience with diverse student populations and learning needs.
- Familiarity with online and blended learning platforms.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment design.
Subject-Specific Requirements:
General Paper (H1):
- Expertise in critical thinking, essay writing, and comprehension skills.
- Strong awareness of local, regional, and global current affairs.
- Ability to guide students in developing balanced and nuanced arguments.
Mathematics (H1/H2) & Mathematics – Further (H2):
- Proficiency in calculus, statistics, probability, and applied mathematics.
- Strong understanding of Further Mathematics topics (for H2 Further).
- Ability to teach both H1 and H2 levels with clear progression.
- Experience with problem-solving and mathematical reasoning.
Economics (H1/H2):
- Deep understanding of micro and macroeconomic principles.
- Ability to relate economic theories to real-world applications and current events.
- Experience with data analysis and economic modeling.
Principles of Accounting (H1) & Accounting (H1):
- Strong foundation in financial accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and best practices.
Physics (H1/H2):
- Expertise in mechanics, electricity, waves, and modern physics.
- Experience conducting practical demonstrations and experiments.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in accessible ways.
Chemistry (H1/H2):
- Strong knowledge of organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry.
- Experience with laboratory work and practical demonstrations.
- Ability to connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications.
Biology (H1/H2):
- Comprehensive understanding of cell biology, genetics, ecology, and physiology.
- Experience with practical laboratory work and biological investigations.
- Ability to explain complex biological processes clearly.
Computer Science (H1/H2):
- Strong programming skills and understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Knowledge of computational thinking and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with practical coding projects and assessments.
English Literature (H1/H2) & English Language & Literature (AS-Level):
- Expertise in literary analysis and textual interpretation.
- Strong knowledge of prescribed texts and literary genres.
- Ability to develop students' critical reading and writing skills.
Business (H1/H2):
- Comprehensive understanding of business management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of organizational behavior, strategy, and operations.

Art & Design (A-Level):
- Strong artistic skills and knowledge of design principles and processes.
